SQL Server Data Tools

Speaker: BJ Hermsen, SQL Server Database Administration Sentry Insurance

Summary: SQL Server Data Tools has gone through quite a few iterations in the last several years. It is a great tool for treating databases like code allowing for schema versioning and ease of deployment. Most of all it simplifies the skillset and tools required for Developers who perform a lot of their own database design and deployment functions. It enables repeatable deployments in a world where the target environments are at different version levels and allows for a ton of automation potential.

About BJ: BJ Hermsen has 12 years of experience as a DBA in the financial services and insurance industries. He enjoys the challenges of new technologies and finding new solutions to long standing issues.
